Crush Boy Storyboards

Here are the storyboards I did for "Crush Boy", my second 507 film. You'll notice some of the boards are inked and shaded and some are still just rough pencil. My process with the boards was to start by sketching everthing out, every shot I had in script and in my mind. Then I came back to the boards after a day or so and ran back through them, inking and shading the shots that I wanted to keep. Anything that felt repetitive, like it wasn't moving the story, was left as rough pencils. So in a sense the boards are my earliest runs at editing.
Because of that there are actually another two whole pages of boards that are just pencil sketches. But I just wanted to give everyone a sense of what actually was shot. Of course this doesn't mean all of these shots made it in either. A lot was cut out, a lot was added and much of it was shifted around into different orders.

Structure B stills

Here are some stills from my first USC film, "Structure B". Starring Tatiana Mitina. Can't post the video, but hopefully these stills give a sense of my camera work. This was all shot on the Sony EX-1 HD cameras.

"Structure B" is the story of a young woman who just lost her dream job, and now is struggling to remember both where she parked her car and (more importantly) who she is.

Sketchbook

Some recent stuff from my sketchbook. Jonah Hex, an in progress Venom sketch, and the third is my concept for the trash monster from "Mae". Anyone out there want to give me some tips on creating a life size stop motion puppet?

early storyboards for my 508 film "Mae"

Here are some preliminary storyboards for what will be my SCA 508 film, titled "Mae". It's the story of a young girl who has to confont her greatest fear, a living trash monster.

I've been doing a ton of storyboarding this semester, I still need to get up my Crush Boy storybaords, those came our pretty nicely.
